A Nation Tied To Recovery

We are in the midst of a recovery.  Despite what the GOP would like you to believe, Obama is doing his job, very well.  And despite the GOP takeover of the House, Obama is still the most successful President of all time, thus far.  Not one bill of his has been stopped, not one.  He has passed everything he has set forth to do,  Including the first major over haul of healthcare in about forty years.  No, it isn't perfect, but I promise, there are no death panels.  Now that the Republicans are holding our wallet, we find that they are even more immature than ever thought possible.  They still want to repeal "Obamacare" which would be fine if they had something to replace it with, but they don't.  They don't seem to have any answers, only complaints.  If they plan on being successful with the repeal they had better hurry before people find out it actually works.  Its first implementation was the first of January, and it has already effected me in a positive way, aka I still have health insurance because of it.  And if my family decides to change providers, now we can, because of this evil Obamacare.  Yes, our rates have increased, about the same as they do every year.  There was something in the bill that would have caused providers not to raise rates, but that was too socialist for the republicans, so they wined and bitched till it was gone.  BTW, that would have been the public option, which for the hundreds of thousands of poverty level republicans, that would have meant quality healthcare for you, not for me.  The Republican party only wants to see Obama fail, and to me, that is treason.  I never wished failure on Bush. I mean I knew he was going to fail, but I preyed so hard that he was on the right path.  I hoped with all my soul that his plans would just work.  But at the end of it all, we are a decade behind the entire world in green energy research, stem cell research and our economy was well, you know about that part. So here is my edict, Buck up, help Obama be successful and you too will be successful, or not, but at least bring something to the table other than obstructionism.  Why? Because it hurts all of us. Listen, I'm not even a Democrat, but at least they are trying to fix our problems, hop on the bus conservatives, please.

Mark Twizzle and the Funny Nizzle Word

The newest edition of Mark Twain's Huck Finn, due out in February will have Nigger replaced with slave. Oh yes, it is true my friends, we are re-writing one of America's greatest novelist's finest work.  But it is okay!  It is for the protection of our youth, they need not read that foul language in the class room, hell, they might even turn into niggers!! Instead we turn them into slaves.  Censoring classic literature, it doesn't even make sense.  That's like, well shit, I don't even have an analogy because it's one of the dumbest things I have ever heard.  This censorship is a kin to the lowering of test standards to improve the rate in which kids pass the tests.  Plus, this is a thorough re-writing of history and should be illegal, it builds a false bravado of a nasty time in our nations development.  A time none of us shall forget, for we will repeat it, oh wait, the Mexicans', apparently, we never learned our lesson in the first place.  So we really are just lowering standards and making it easier to be a racist.  And somehow, I just know religion is behind this one, another great idea guys.  Tearing down our nations foundation brick by brick.  I would like to take the time to quote another great American, Dr. Laura, Nigger Nigger Nigger, lets just try to keep that word where it belongs, in our history, by way of Literature.  Fuck the whales, save the niggers.

Drug War Smrug War

Better results, better war!  More people died due to drug violence between cartels in Mexico this year than deaths in Iraq due to the war!  And the U.S. Government didn't even have to spend a dime on it.  Nope, as a matter of fact, for this war, we skipped the middle man and are funding it ourselves.  Okay, obviously this is a load of crap, but the point is, there is a war in our back yard, and the bad guy is winning people.  We are going to have to step in soon.  Operation Iraqi Freedom was a cover up for oil, which we never even got. What is Operation destroy mexico?  We want secure borders? We want less immigration? One simple answer, help fix Mexico.  Upwards of 16,000 people, HUMAN FUCKING BEINGS, have been murdered in cold blood this year alone.  Families living in fear everyday, exiles persecuted for being outsiders while all they want is to go back home to their friends and communities, which don't even exist anymore.  And if in the papers you read of a police "success",  well, that is just another death sentence because that only spurs more violence.  I guess what i'm saying is that, if we can spend billions and billions half way around the world, we should be able to spend millions from people who actually want our help.  The War on drugs perpetuates this life for Mexican's, that would be my first stop, legalize cannabis and boom there goes a huge percentage of their profits.  Shut down cocaine manufacturer's in Columbia and boom, another hit to their strength and power.  We move from there.  I don't understand how we can hear this on our news every day, and not feel the insatiable need to help them.  AMERICA, defender of freedom!  Who's?  Well, we um, don't really know anymore, we have all but handed ours over to corporate America, and we refuse to actually help anyone unless it will prove to be devastating to our economy and image around the world.  Where is the Fucking Logic to what we do, these people need our help.  No one should ever have to live like they are living.  Ever!

Rant

Okay, Game over.  When do we start to take responsibility for our selves.  The government can make all the legislation it wants to, or not, and nothing gets done.  Nothing can get done until we stand up as a people and do it.  It is that simple.  We need to make choices, everyday.  Get up on time, don't waste this water while i brush my teeth, walk the kids to school instead of drive, use lean meat and whole wheat bread instead of McDonalds, give the bum a god damned quarter, who cares what he buys with it.   But that isn't what I'm talking about, we want the world to change, yet we do nothing to fix it other than point our fingers at the people who try.  Worse yet; we blame them for our own insolence.  If you want companies to stop outsourcing your jobs, don't fucking use that company.  If you want Wal Mart to stop bullying small traders for unfair prices on magnanimous orders which in turn cause lower wages for workers already in unsuitable conditions, stop shopping and ordering from Wal Mart.  If you're tired of seeing Sarah Palin's face on time Magazine, stop buying the magazine.  If you want industries to stop pumping emissions into our air, stop buying their products.  It is that simple.  That's the best part about our society,  capitalism is controlled solely by money, OUR money.  We stop spending, they stop earning, they disappear.  Veni Vidi Vici.

Man Killed By Police

Imagine, it is 4:40 pm, You are a middle aged male,   You are out front, waiting for your friend to come home because you've been drinking, and decide it isn't safe to drive.  Out of boredom, you're playing now with a hand held sprayer that would attach to a hose, using your imagination and shooting different targets, then boom, you're fucking dead.  Good job Long Beach PD, you just saved a squirrel from a sure soaking.  R.I.P. Douglas Zerby, who's only true crime was maintaining his youthfulness and enjoying a beautiful afternoon.  They shot him with a shotgun and a hand gun at least 15 times according to a neighbor, then handcuffed him while he slowly died on the scene.  I wonder how long it took them to realize they had shot him for a garden hose?  Which by the way, the two officers responsible for the shooting can't quite agree on whether the nozzle was in douglas' lap, or wether he was pointing it at them.  In my modest opinion, these officers should do heavy time, and never be allowed to even look at a gun again.  While i do not request Murder 1, due to the fact that they are apparently retarded.  Sorry if that term offends any of you.

Obesity: Sociological, not Medicinal

I read an article in the LA Times Health page today about our current obesity problem.  Doctors are begging the FDA to approve drugs that could help fight obesity.  If the major drug companies don't have a big hit soon in that department, many doctors are afraid that they will pull out of the venture and leave the R&D to smaller less reputable companies.  Here is my gripe.  Not with the article, it was wonderfully balanced and extremely well written, but the argument is in the wrong place.  Why do we as a society always try to fix our problems once they've over ridden us?  We don't need medicine to cure this problem.  The source is not a medical one, it is a sociological problem that merely affects our medical condition.  McDonald's across the way from Carl's, next to a Starbuck's in the same center as your healthy food safe haven, the grocery store...? Well safe haven may be a bit mis leading.  Finding food with out high fructose corn syrup or partially hydrogenated oils is hard enough, forgetting all the saturated fat we induce daily.  Every where we turn we are faced with carbohydrates and sugar, and worse now, fake sugar, real butter, fake oil, but its ok, it is a soy latte.  And we want the doctors to fix us?  "Hey Doc, toss me a pill, I've been thinkin' bout droppin' a couple pounds, what do you think?"  Wrong, we need to start with our children and our selves, it is the decisions we make, and we make them well.  Don't blame the FDA for not approving drugs to make you thinner, see a psychologist if you really need to, thats who can help you, not pfizer or lilly.  So if you want my opinion, buy organic, exercise daily and have fun doing it, eat  well balanced meals and laugh often. Oh btw, don't smoke either.  For more information on how to eat healthy balanced meals, go to -----> mypyramid.gov
